Rabbi Shmuly Yanklowitz begins CSULB’s JSP Spring Speakers’ Series

The Spring Speakers’ Series of the Jewish Studies Program at California State University, Long Beach began on Thursday night with Rabbi Shmuly Yanklowitz speaking on “Making the Unethical Treyf”.  
Rabbi Yanklowitz, who is a co-founder of Uri L’Tzedek, the Orthodox social justice group, and the Senior Jewish Educator at the Hillel at UCLA, spoke on how we as consumers can strive to purchase more ethically-made food, with a source-packet entitled “Kosher is Yosher: The Ethics of Eating Kosher”.
