In a week from today, the seventh annual Jewlicious Festival will once again be taking place in Long Beach, CA. Jewlicious Festival is a three-day gathering of Jewish students & young adults at the massive Alpert JCC in Long Beach. The Festival features leading Jewish personalities, musicians, artists, and writers from around the world for a world-class concert series, inspiring Shabbat experiences, discussions and workshops.
As a partner since the festival’s inception, SoCalJSS will once again be a producer of the festival, along with Beach Hillel, Jewlicious, and JConnectLA. Major supporters of the festival are Deanna & Allen Alevy, Barbara & Ray Alpert, The Jewish Community Foundation of Los Angeles, Liz & Jim Breslauer, and Gila & Adam Milstein.
In addition to promoting the festival, being involved in the planning of it, SoCalJSS will be providing its rabbi to be an on-hand resource for chatting with students as well as teaching a few times throughout shabbat. Rabbi Drew will be speaking on “Stand, Sit, Bend & Bow: Why are they Moving that Way? Jewish Prayer and the Choreography of Talking to God” on Friday evening, “An Artistic Look at the Parshah” on Saturday morning, and on “Conversation on Kosher Consumption: A Discussion of Jewish Eating Practices” on Saturday afternoon.
Tickets are available online while supplies last.
