Tikkun Olam Institute 2012

You can join with other young adults from Southern California with engaging in helping to fix the world from a Jewish perspective this summer.  Taking place Sunday 22 July through Tuesday 24 July, the second annual Tikkun Olam Institute will feature activities, speakers, and opportunities to consider fixing the world from Jewish lenses.  The event will be taking place both in Long Beach and in Los Angeles:

Sunday: 6:00pm Dinner in Los Angeles at Bibi’s Bakery (meet up at Alpert JCC for carpool at 5:00pm)
Monday: 12:30pm Lunch & Learn with Rabbi Abba Perlmuter
3:00pm Habitat Restoration at the Colorado Lagoon
8:00pm Beer, Bible & Baked Goods with Rabbi Drew
Tuesday: 11:30am Brunch with bagels & cream cheese at the Alpert Jewish Community Center with Rabbi Drew
1:00pm Experience a Just Garden
4:00pm Ice Cream Conclusion at Ben & Jerry’s

Wrestling with concepts amongst peers is an important element of the Tikkun Olam Institute
